Could someone who is experiencing the infamous 216-degree shutter re-set please walk me through step by step what causes this behavior?

Thanks

To me it's the reset to a 300 degree shutter. When the recording resolution is changed the shutter is reverted back to 300 degrees, regardless of what the shutter was set to before. Every time. As I remember the same happens when I change recording format XAVC/MPEG422.

Here is something i noticed when shooting in 1080 50p (shutter50) and push SQ button to shoot in 150P mode (xavc i codec), be care with all auto button when you come back in 50P mode. I mean, in sq mode, if you push all auto button, don't push it again before come back in 50P mode. All auto have to be engaged before come back to 50P mode. If you desactivate all auto before come back to 50P mode, your shutter will be at 150 in 50P mode and you have to enter manually in shutter mode and change shutter from 150 to 50.

Why would anyone want to shoot at 1/50th in 1080/50? And why would anyone use all auto button?

This is a button that should NEVER appear on FS7 body. I can accept it as an option but it should be buried somewhere in the menu. It's there smiling evilly at you like a one bullet in a russian roulette gun, waiting to kill your footage.

Why would anyone want to shoot at 1/50th in 1080/50? Because 1/25 or 1/50 are smallest accetable shutter you have when you shoot 50P (1/50 = 300 angle).
And why would anyone use all auto button? Because it is an option who can help you in trash run and gun situation (no time for Wight balance, shutter or nd filter, iris, Inside outside etc...) you have to press record button now without any time.
I rarely use this all auto button, effectively it could be dangerous (when using metabones for exemple, auto iris is problematic) and working in this conditions are not good at all.
We often hear that auto focus, auto iris or auto shutter is not Professional... Anyway it was just a little shutter bug i found in this mode and share it for people using this option.
