Oh my god, did you just "like" your own post SJX? So sad. And here I thought getting into a 6K, 16bit Raw workflow with a global shutter last year with 6 terabytes of camera media for under $10k was a good idea. Pity I didn't have your vast knowledge of the alternatives. This post is about Ed's genius modification of another great camera. There's not a thing wrong with the F35, beautiful images and wonderful technology. The F65 reference is applicable because British engineers were rumored to have done a similar mod when that camera was released. We don't need another blowhard here who bought into a different system slandering and vilifying the marvel of the Sony F65. We have all of Reduser for that.

Your experimentations are a great source of learning and reading.
Just to be sure i've clearly understand, you do not put the side panel to have less weight or because of it product error when the over boards aren't plugged?
Are you not afraid of the heat with the fans removed and once you have closed the box?

How can I even like my own post? What are you smoking? Maybe the smoke is why you can't accept other people have different opinions than yours? Or you angry another person share my opinion? And who's is this Ed genius? Or you calling yourself genius? Because if you talk of yachacha I never knew his name to be Ed. I thought was something else. This is my opinion. I feel F65 image is nothing special. Many other cameras with similar qualities. F55, Varicam 35 etc. Like or don't. It's my opinion.

Yeah I don't really think the F65 is anything to flaunt about... granted, I like all cameras but if we are comparing to the F35/Genesis, F35 wins that battle.

Mike, you're a nice guy. I enjoy your posts, relate to your technical curiosity and admire the F35. But if you really believe you own the "better" camera, I'm afraid I'm going to have to side with Claudio Miranda and the guy who shot Apocalypse Now.

I would say you always need to cool the CCD. The power supply has it own fan that should always run as well. The other fans are used to cool the dock distribution as I call it, and I have completely removed this board from the side. The chips on the side of the F35 seem to run cool without the other board sandwiches over it.
