C300: shoulderrig for C300

what woud be the best solution for a shoulder rig? Money is not an issue.
I have a C300 and I mainly use it on a tripod or monopod, however, a good shoulderrig would make it mobile, however, focusing is a problem with most shoulder rigs, when working alone.
Any good suggestions?

Personally I think Zacuto is not too bad but slightly overpriced fot what you get.

Here is my rig that was hobbled together from a lot of different parts. It works very well and is balanced on the shoulder. The red rock follow focus makes doc work super fluid. I would not trade it for any rig that I have used or seen online.

ha, I can see you hate the viewfinder as well, you tortured it with tape!
very curious about that follow focus system, does it require a lot of handling very tie you set up your camera of when you change your lenses?
which configuration is that?
and last but not least, that shoulder pad looks nice, is it custom made?

Hey Guys,

microRemote Review Videos you ask?

We've also got our ultraCage for C300, that integrates really nicely with all of our shoulder rigs, including our new microShoulderPad with FieldTech.

Redrock Gear is incredibly modular, and you can really build any type of rig you want with it. Here's my favourite rig I built up for a customer with some specific quick release needs:

Of course let me know if you have any questions!

It works great with the wired thumbwheel and pretty good with the wireless FF. Had problems shooting on the tarmac at a midsized airport. It would drop in and out and was pretty much unusable in the situation. Every where else it has been fine so far. Lens changes take about 45-60 secs with calibration.

Would love to hear more about the Redrockmicro remote. Do you use the wireless option as well?

Dolby,

Glad to hear you are liking the microRemote!

Keep in mind if you ever have any interference issues, there are 16-Sub Channels to choose from for the microRemote to communicate on.

I find that around common consumer electronics, channel "A" performs the best.

Cheers,

I need to start thinking about putting a rig together. I used a Gini with my HDSLR but I found it too frustrating to use and put together.

Been thinking about bother Redrock and Zacuto as I know they are built to last and I can use parts of them in the future for whatever camera comes next. Just need to make a decision now!

I have the Tilta dovetail shoulder mount.
I've used other shoulder mounts before and this has to be the best and lightest one I've used so far.

Redrock Ultracage with a Tilta BS-T03. The Tilta is great because it basically turns it into the bottom of an ENG camera: Betacam type shoulder pad and locks onto Sony style tripod plates.
