Should you use OIS using a monopod?

I know that you do not use OIS when using a tripod.

But, do you use OIS using a monopod?

I usually turn it on with a monopod.

It's tough to replicate the stability of a tripod with a mono, but I've never seen anything authoritative on the question.

I always use on with Monopod.

I use it. Keep in mind that if you are doing pans you will have the same lag problem as a tripod, but honestly, pans are not a monopods forte.

The benefits of using OIS on a monopod tend to outweigh the negatives. Depends on shooting style and how steady you are though.

Wouldnt use on a tripod, always use on a monopod / Halo Rig. Only issue you will have with OIS is a slight jump when you start to pan... since its trying to correct your movement for the very begining, then has to jump a little to keep up with your pan. Its not often you will see it, and unnoticeable most of the time.
