That's how I feel. I'm done with Adobe when CS6 no longer works. I think it's OK for a while. How do you manage XAVC on CS6? I heard that Davinci Resolve is becoming a full featured editing suite. What about compositing? I've checked out Avid Media Composer, still an option. Smoke looks freakin' awesome but no Win X64 there, just mac
For 4k XAVC I transcode with Davinci and get any flavour of H.264 or ProRes I want, and use round-trip editing workflow process to Davinci and back to Premiere. It works like a charm and it allows me to edit with smaller files or share the files and the edit project file with others without having to worry about duplicating whopping files all over the place.
On another note telling someone they shouldn't be in business because they can't afford $50 is pretty lame. I don't want to pay $50/month because I'm cheap, and I do not endorse subscription based software because a manufacturer is ignorant enough to think it is better for me but hasn't asked. Keep paying those monthly fees and others will soon follow.
The only 'F' you in this forum should be to Adobe.
