I Got Some Decisions To Make. I like my Canon 7d its a great camera I do video and photography. However I do not like the AGC on the 7d and wish a firmware changed this. I was considering downgrading to a T2i or 60d. But however Lumix just released the GH2 and apparently they are saying this is the best DSLR on the market with AF on video. Also Sony released the A55 which has an amazing 10fps vs 8fps on the 7D and also have features like GPS and AF on Video. What are the pro's and con's ? Also I would like to continue to use my Canon lenses as well if I switch to GH2 or A55.

Unfortunately you can't use your canon glass and get control of aperture at the same time. I had this same dilema. I bought a 7D and thought I was all that until I picked up a gh1.. And now the GH2 is out. That being said, I really like the photo quality of the 7D compared to the GH1/2. I also really like my canon L glass that I spend hundreds (thousands) of dollars on. I don't know how the Sony camera does compared to video, but I can at least comment on the GH2 and I can honestly say that if you want AF (not quite video camera AF but probably the closest on a m4/3 or apsc sensor), and you want to shoot a lot of video go with the GH2 hands down. As a bit of a canon fanboy I feel a bit like im cheating on my 7D after saying that..

So u will lose AF and aperture correct anything else ? I dont want to invest in new lenses bc there is not a great selection with Lumix.

Buy the GH2 and use more for videos. Keep the 7D for more stills. If you have invested in alot of Canon glass, you could get the Birgier mount when that comes out. Its supposed to keep the iris control and electronics but its not cheap.
There's another one from Hong Kong i believe, but i can't remember the name of that mount. Combining the strengths of both cams is the way to go imo.

The first question you need to ask yourself is, what is your camera NOT doing that you want it to do. Secondly if your after better quality audio than your going to want a separate recorder period!

Finally Gh2 is not better than a 7d or Vice Versa, there are pros and cons to both cameras. The art of story telling and creating a beautiful scene come from your mind and artistic value, NO camera is going to do that for you..... A Camera is only a tool, YOU need to make it happen

So Im deciding to sell the 7d and get the GH2. Every review stated the GH2 is the clear winner. Sad part I bought my 7d and I have the L Lenses now I have to get rid of them too and get new lenses as well.

Im in the same boat. The only thing that was/is stopping me is my customers. You have some customers always asking "what are you shooting with?" , "What equipment are you using?" and so on. Then when you tell them you are shooting with a Canon 7D, you hear stuff like "oh ok, another guy was shooting with a Panasonic GH1 (lol) and thats why I decided to look elsewhere". I hear things like this all the time. Especially at weddings. I even have a full Rig that I'm thinking of putting my future GH2 on...thats if I decide to go that route.

You could also get a Canon 60D. It is virtually the same as the 7D, with the same sensor but only one processor (which only really matters if you need to shoot lots of stills quickly in RAW). It has support for Magic Lantern and no AGC and is A LOT better built than the 550/T2i and has most of the features of the GH2, but you can still use all your Canon lenses on it.
