Simply put 'yes'. You need one. Get it and you'll never be disappointed. This camera is king even in the world of HDV.jhughes said:Hey,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I have had my eye on the DVX camera for a long time, and I wanted to get some people's opinion on the camera. Thanks for all your help.
jhughes said:Thanks for the quick responses. In answer to your questions Brandon, I would like to use the camera for some wildlife photography (as I live in the Angeles National Forest) and some small narrative projects. I do have the money to buy it, but I've been trying to do my research as much as I can. Thanks for the replies. Do you guys think that the camera is good for nature shooting? thanks.

Co-signed 100%. Unless you can get right up close to that pack of wild coyotes, you're gonna want a camera with a better zoom.BennisHahn said:It pains me to say it, but if you are really into nature shooting you might want to look at the XL2, as it will have more long lens options for you.
If that doesn't float your boat, however, get the DVX!

Two weeks away. Could be better. Worse. The same. Do you like to gamble?

I suppose it doesn't matter what or when I decide, because the week after I make the purchase, that's when the big discount will happen.
