FS7: Shotgun mic fitment advice

+1 For buying the piece of rubber. When I bought my ntg-1 RODE mic, the sales person mentioned I'd need an extra piece - I didn't quite understand what he meant until I opened the 15 dollar package. Kind of a pain to have to spend 15 dollars there, but the piece lives on the mic and it always fits perfect. Worth it to me.

These rubbers are used to protect electrical cables you can find them in all sizes in any car-shop or electrical component-store. You should google for rubber fitting. You will save 8 pound (is that 20 dollar?) if you can live without the sony logo.

A couple rubber O-Rings came with my AT875R, & live on the mic, so never misplaced. Believe I've seen similar O-Rings at Hardware Stores.

Damn, I ordered the sony one yesterday for £12, coming soon so I'll do a full review later (joking)

If I'd seen those electrical cable alternatives I would have searched.

Oh well, when you've spent thousands of pounds on a camera, might as well get the right addon that you'll use every day?
