C200: SHOT ON THE C200 - Completed/released/commercial projects only

2x C200s 4K 60p Mp4

Lenses:

Canon 18-80mm
Canon 16-35mm
Canon 24-70mm
Canon 70-200mm

LED Light

Shoot was pretty self explanatory and a lot was left on the cutting room floor (maybe for another video). The low light of the Mp4 held up well IMO and cleaned up nicely. I bumped up the beginning shot to ISO 6400 and it still looks great.

Nice work although I would of exported in 24p not 60p. Looks weird to the eye.

Some content from Malaysia shot by Canon C200 RAW, some are exported directly to ProRes 4444, some are worked natively on RAW.

Edited on Adobe Premiere, Colored on Resolve.
Skin tones are a big plus here, wish i could work with more Caucasian Talents to judge their skintones too compared to us Asians.

Don't know how to embed but this is crazy good. RED/ARRI-like with the right crew/lighting. The reason I bought it. The camera is no longer a limiting factor if you have the c200. Just skill and budget, as well as vision and story.

I agree that the C200 will in no way limit a filmmaker.

But then again I believe that is equally true about the original C100. That doesn't mean that I think the two cameras have identical image quality, but rather that whatever image quality difference there is between them is TOTALLY INSIGNIFICANT compared to the importance of other things you mention like skill, vision and story. I'd add craft to that list, which to me implies an understanding of limitations and the correct application of a product's strengths.

Having used the c100 and C300ii before selling the c300ii for my C200, I can agree. The C200 is FAR more forgiving for some one with my workflow, because of internal raw I can fix color in post, because of 4K60, split seconds of greatness become 3 seconds of b roll, it’s definitely bad practice but the camera saves me in run and gun situations and makes me faster on set. The more I use it, I see why the 10-bit internal was hobbled. A couple fixes on this camera, and it would be hard to sell any new competing canon camera no matter the specs.

I'd take a full frame C200 with whatever improvements you C200 users might suggest. I've only graded clips from it, I haven't shot with it yet. Hope to do that soon.

I did not no film riots Short "ballistic'' was made on the c200. I thought it was red. At any rate, this is some of the best work I've seen from this cam. Congrats.

The OP would prefer us not to comment in this thread (it's only for videos), but just wanted to mention that there is much more to 'BALLiSTIC' than the camera quality.

The high-quality format and grading is of course a part of it, but there is also some great camera movement going on/support gear being used, serious effects work, amazing stunts, fantastic sound design, cool location, a crew of over 140 helping, etc.

It's amazing how if you pause a frame it can look like a handful of other cameras, but if you combine all of the things above and more and they are all done well, it instantly creates such a cinematic experience (of course that's not news for anyone but just saying, ha).
