Short Walk on the Beach

Took a short walk on the beach today and filled the memory card. Cut this together real quick. Playing with DOF and just learning the camera still.

Just seemd like it had no color in it. Looks like you shot it flat..and did no color correction.

That was a mighty fast pan in the opening shot. A bit too fast?

Yea, I didnt do any correction. It was a quick piece, shot and edited in about 4 hours. I am thinking of going back and playing with it. I havent ever used FCP before this (Just made the move to Mac) so I was unsure of color correction and how to do it.

And the fast pan was to convey a sense of "thats the house > thats the beach". I had a shot where I panned slower, and ramped it up in post. But it didn't look right. The rolling shutter became evident...but meh.

Any ideas on basic color corrections for the 7d? What it usually needs, what it looks best with?
