Hi Good people of Dvxuser,

This is a short video - Last day I am looking for feed back on lighting and look and feel the edit and sound but not the bad bit when the actor sits down I no the sound is bad there.

I am new to the canon 5D but I am loving it this video the short "Last Day" was a short film for testing lighting and the options of the Canon 5D Mark II using the Technicolor picture style and a Tamron 28 to 75 mm Lens, it was edited in Adobe Premiere 5.5 and after effects.

Thanks for any feed back, good or bad.
Peter

The lighting, looking like one window's worth, led to a rather contrasty image. The woman's mediterranean complexion got darker on the over-the-shoulder shots. I would have positioned her on the left, and the guy, a bit lighter in complexion, on the right. Guy's in general can take a bit more contrast, even in light romcom fare. Alternatively, some 'fill' light for the OTS shots towards the woman to soften the shadow side of her face.

In terms of camera position or moves. I didn't care for the framing when the guy brings the drinks to the couch. Absent some sort of fancy tripod/lift, which would frame the guy for a medium waist up shot then sink as he sits on the couch to reveal the girl... I'd probably try a high 'bird's eye view, at sort of a kanted angle so we can see him approaching the couch, and at the same time see the girl.
