Re: short shot on DVX -- Come Quickly
wow, i like the second page comments even better than the ones on the first page
JMysliwiec: i totally agree. that voiceover was pieced together from a recording session lasting over an hour...that was the best i could get. Cam, the guy doing the VO, is a grip, not an actor...unfortunantly, we didn't have time to get someone...better. the outtakes we're great, though! cam is hilarious.
i've got one more film up on the net...i'm not sure if it qualifys for posting here--it was shot on super8 film, and then transferred to video using the DVX...does tha count?

Brilliant Work. Get that hard-disk repaired. Fast. I personnally liked the visualization of the "philoscientific" thoughts very much. It all worked fine in my opinion, except for the repetition of the seagulls ("the chemicals and electrons begin to fire randomly"), and I didn't quite get the merry-go-round ("the optic nerve looses energy"), just a second later it does work fine and mixes beautifully with the "toiletpapertunneloflight", so maybe I'm too picky. This one is definetely worth a try at the International Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen (the most famous Shortfilm Festival) in Germany. Here`s the link:

I don't know when the next deadline is, but your harddisk should come back to life again soon.
Good Luck!
