Short Movie "The Memories of Billy Rainwater" - shot on HVX200

Was a 35mm adapter used?

No 35mm adapter - all HVX200

how did you capture shots from all over the world!? Where do you live now/school?

Long story short - I've been moving around to different countries from early age. This was the same case with my dad and grand-father.... thus I have family members in many places around the world. I'm currently studying at SCAD (Savannah, GA).

the opening song by godspeed you black emperer didn't really fit. the music fit alright, but the dialogue in the song didnt really seem to fit to hit the spot. maybe its just because i have different images in my head when i hear the song. looked very nice! i was very nistalgic to see even other people's dear memories. i thought this was a DVX at first and i was gonna flip. awesome work.

Fantastic job Marco! Definitely something to be proud of.

All stock HVX? How about that sort of fisheye looking shot when you zoom into the suitcase at about 8:50? Was that achieved in post?

Great job on this film!!!!!!! If every film student in this county had your storytelling capabilities, the world would be a better place.

I can not say enough good things about your film...

Thanks again! All stock HVX200 footage shot during summer 2006 (over 7 hours of footage). The suitcase shot was done with a wide angle lense and a glidecam - credits to Andy Holmes. Great feedback!

cheers!

that was good. what kind of mic did you use? the audio of talking at seven and a half minutes in sounds real nice

very beautiful. really good work all over, including the whole emotional impact you generate. Lovely images, great post-work.

Great job on the film. Superb storytelling techniques and excellent compositions.

I did a couple of things - but not much. I'm probably not great - but I did surround myself with great people.

AG MC100G microphone - the mic sounds best when set outside..
