Short movie from the holiday, a (very) quick work with the C100 without tripod (only one lens 18-135mm, IS), wdr gamma at a start, log gamma at interiors, only minor color correction (brightness, contrast, saturation), a lot of stabilization at postproduction.
Music Kevin MacLeod.

Internal AVCHD, I was very happy with canon-log gamma.

Very nice! I have a couple of questions:

• What is your sharpness set at?

• At 1:30, when I view that shot in full screen, the red walls, I see noise. I sometimes get that. Wonder how it can be avoided.

My basic sharpness is -5, but in this really quick type of work I was sometime slow with manual focusing - some pictures are a little out of focus, it is holiday .-) .
I also try shoot only with EVF (for the first time during last 1,5 year), no tripod needs better stability, the result is also worse focus in that quick type of work.
And I know that the 25p camera mode has a really good native sharpness - if I'm in focus then sharpness is wonderful.

It is about exposure - this was the first shot with log gamma at interiors and I tried keep the window and darkness at the room balanced, but the room was too dark. I must gain signal at post, on TV screen is noise ok, but on computer screen is too heavy, it is better to used less gain at post to avoid this.
This balance in exposure is better in other shots.

This holiday type of work is a good place for some experiment .-) .

Thanks Roli, I love this place!
:-)

There are about sixteen castles in the Czech republic which are in the best condition for all times, because they were protected and never destroyed by politics in the old eastern bloc. Sychrov is one of them, it is a very nice place with wonderful colors in interiors and with great garden around.
It is about one hour journey from Prague to the north-east near town Liberec.

Thanks for the info Pave1. My colleague at work was in the Czech republic in June; he was talking of very nice and scenic places, friendly people and good food.
Sound like I definitely have to put it on my travel destination wishlist :-)

I like a lot of countries in Europe, but places with mountains or with a great culture and history are better. Austria has nice mountains, Slovakia has wild nature, in the Czech republic is great history and amazing old buildings - castles, Germany and Hungary have quality food, Poland has pope .-) .
A lot of places, all of them with a great history...

Thanks slidemaster.
