Short horror film shot in Japan

This is my first real short that I shot in Japan for a small, local horror film festival. I shot this with the T2i kit lens and the Canon f/1.8 50mm.

Feel free to comment and critique. I'm pretty new to film, so let me know what you think. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.
 
Nice idea. Nicely shot.
Somewhat overacted buy the guy. Talking to self ... not necessary.

The opening song was a real turn off as was the silly music.
The end music was the best and I think all music should have been in that general style / flavor.

This was my first film and I was trying to focus mainly on the shooting (since I had no one else to delegate tasks to). I wanted to put the opening music and the carnival-type music in the beginning, as well as warm colors, to contrast with the cooler colors and more eerie part at the end. It doesn't seem like it did it for you, but maybe I should be a bit more consistent with the mood.
