Short Film with HV30 and Letus Mini

That was pretty nice. Good plot (not going to spoil it for others).

My only criticisms was the unsteady camera on alot of the shots, it made it a little annoying to watch. Also some shots were under exposed and a little too dark.

Good job though, enjoyed it.

Also, i wanted to ask, did you have to zoom in far to reduce vignetting with the Letus?

I use a JAG35 & 50mm f1.8 lens with a HV30 and i have quite a bit of vignetting.

Applause for managing to construct a story <SPOILER>(highlight)with such a major twist</SPOILER> while using so few lines of dialog. That really is a challenge, but your visuals aided in telling the story, which is an important skill.

Thanks Essential. I'm glad you feel that way because one of my main intentions with this film was to tell the story visually rather than vocally.

I have a another film I am working on currently with the same sort of idea as far as story telling goes.

I'm also preparing a short film with no dialog and hope to convey the story visually as well as you did.

I think it's something more amateur directors should work on. If you can tell a story without using any dialog, then you've learned how to properly tell a movie that's full of dialog.

I felt it was very disturbing that they were having a non audible dialogue. If you want to tell a story only visually rather not have them talk at all, do it 100% through the imagery.
Of course that way you have to be more creative to tell the story, but that's the whole point of such a genre.
And you can always use text panels in between as the silent movies way back used.
