Short Film: Boris Jackson "Back in the D" shot on T2i

lol i luv this. like a scene from a black tarrentino film :) Only gripe was sometimes the sound was roomy and distorted at times and other gripe is shot at 2.11 just seemed out of place. Good acting all round. and those guys really sold getting shot.

Very nice! Love the acting of the main guy. You have to work on your shot framing though, it doesnt fully capture the actor's intensity.

Great work!
PS WOuld've love a longer slow mo scene, i.e. more than just a walk to set the next scene.

Nice work! I thought your actors were all really solid. I especially loved the intro of the main character - it's done pretty often, but it was very appropriate for the story, IMHO. It felt like it was part of a larger narrative, and to be honest there were times after the first two victims were shot when I got lost in the dialogue (probably just me.) Overall, I wasn't sure how I was supposed to respond to the material - who was I supposed to root for? Again, there's probably more to the story, so forgive my ignorance. The ending was a bit of a downer. While I was enjoying the main character's dancing and exuberance, I didn't feel much tension building. I was hoping that my expectations would be thwarted. I was expecting the white guy on the floor to get shot, so when it actually happened I was a little disappointed. Also, I think around 2:10 you jumped axis and I'm not sure if that was by design. I really liked when the "henchman" punched the white guy after the main character slapped him. It looks like you did a jump cut to speed up the punch. I really liked that; nice touch! I'd love to see more of the larger narrative! I hope this feedback helps.
