Short Army Video for Easter This Year

He also became angered and took the time to "fashion a whip" (probably 1/2 hour or so) to drive the wicked street vendors selling in the Temple. If he was God in flesh and God instructed Israels Armies to go to war against countless enemies (Phillistines, Aramites, Persians, Babylonians...) to preserve their way of life, their holiness, then why is this such a forign concept?

Turn the other cheek, is a great verse about LOVING those who are your enemies. The ability to pray for them and not harbour resentment and hate. God also instructs us as husbands and fathers to love and protect our wives /families "as christ loved the church". Christ loved the church more than anything and it angered Him when anyone tried to destroy the sanctity of it.

I will always Love and will even sometimes admittedly struggle to pray for them, but I will not sacrifice my family to them. I will protect honor and serve them with my life even if necessary. Multiply that by a million and that is how wars begin.

I don´t get the point of this video, who´s it intended for?
Every man or woman that has ever been out in the fields will probably feel taken not seriously, the acting was bad, directing and editing were arbitrary, the rest was all colordodge´n burn with some vignetting...
Wether you are Pro or Anti war, people are getting killed in it, using this setting to show your skills as a DP/director should be done way more thoroughly and with more respect to the people risking their lives in whatever war...
my 2c.

Personally, I was offended by the film. No, not just because of the politics involved (that's a whole other thread) and no, not just because this was made for a church Easter show (I'm still trying to figure out how the heck this is appropriate for Easter or church) but in the filmmaking itself. This may sound harsh, and I apologize in advance, but there are far too many fancy effects going on and no content. This is an "ok" test shoot, and as others have mentioned about the muzzle and dirt FX, there's work to be done. However, I felt there was WAY too much of the flashy cutting, hyper effects type to warrant watching the whole piece. I did finish it by the way, but as a whole the video seemed contrived, trite and whatever big words my thesaurus says I should use.

But what do I know? I'm just a guy who's still stuck on how this is appropriate for Easter...
