Me and a friend made a short on sunday, it was his first experience on the 7d and I think it turned out quite well. All audio was recorded with my new rode video mic and it worked really well.
Yeah this is a good funny concept but it's bogged down by the the opening credits, I think it's too on the nose, and doesn't set up much that we don't learn in a much more entertaining way 26 secs later, the guitar and everything just gets it to a sluggish start. It seems like it should be more celebratory, of frying, of friendship, of Alex, of the freedom that we as a country are able to have this much food, but it's a little too solemn and lethargic an open, though the classic guitar is defiantly the right touch I just feel it should be more upbeat to set up that celebratory tone from the start to put that vibe into everything that comes after it. I wish it was revealed how Alex died, or at least that there was a greasy little shrine with a picture of him that you guys give little fried offerings to in his honor. But as whole this was pretty good, I really liked the dead friend touch, it added a layer of complexity and interest to the whole thing.
