Shooting with hack on a very tight budget

I'm debating on getting a mattebox but leaning toward a Coking filter holder due to price. Does the Cokin filter work on the Panny 20mm f1.7?

It must work with any lens (but with lenses with rotating front element it won't be very handy :) )
You need holder with ring. Plus stackable hoods. And a filters, of course.

I am going to make a list of things I am sending my brother for a 9 month documentary. 2 people on motorbikes riding through India for 9 months.
Here is a shortlist.

2x GH1 w/ 25P patch and lpowell safe settings 40 Mbps AVCHD and 35 mbps MJPEG (Made in Japan 2010 body for lower fpn).
2x Olympus 14-54mm II lens (fastest lenses with Video AFS)
2x Rode VM with 3 sets of alkaline batteries
6x GH1 batteries
2x Giant Squid Audio Lav mics
2x 126 LED on camera Video Lights
2x travel tripods (Weifeng WFC-593 Carbon Fiber) - I will put up a video to show how these can be used as a shoulder stabilizer. Essentially it can be used for static shots and then the legs fold to a T - so it can be used as a crude but surprisingly effective stabilizer.
2x QR ball heads (I opted for Stroboframe as I got them on sale really cheap)
6-8x 16GB SDHC cards (waiting for Nov and Dec sales to buy :) )
2x Photo Backup HDD (to save data on SD cards in between locations).

The reason for SD cards is redundancy. Once a card is filled up, it is backed up to HDD and mailed to a secure location.
When the HDD is filled up, it is copied to a larger hdd and mailed to the safe location. This way, data will be safe.

LED Light on camera

LED Light on camera

EDIT:- 126 LED video light from ebay, 160 LED video light and Z96 led light. These can take AA, Panasonic and Sony LiON batteries.

Any options for on-camera led lights. Preferably stackable ?

Something else that may be helpful. A direct source for all the Fancier and Weifeng tripods.

http://www.beebuyer.com/products/weifeng-tripods

I think this is shipped from their factory or by someone close by. Pricing is really good.
Beebuyer seems to be a legit marketplace, with a few recent reviews. Perhaps you can wait until my order comes through so we know this place is legit.

Vitaliy. Can you recommed a good priced Quick Release plate ? Dont want to pay 20-50 bucks for a QR.

Just wanted to say thanks to Vitaliy and everyone else for the hack. I haven't even been able to put it to use yet though as my crappy sd card keeps failing on me. :( I guess a San Disk Class 4 8gb card is just too slow for it.

Thanks again guys!
