Shooting video question

I just bought a D90 last week so I am sorry if this question was already asked. I got a 8gb card in mine and according to the packaging from the card, I can record up to 120min of HD video on that card. However my camera says I only have 5 minutes of record time. What's up with that? I am very new to the DSLR world so I am trying to learn this camera the best i can.

It just stops recording at 5 minutes. You can hit the OK button again to start recording. It shuts the camera down when it overheats. I'm still searching for a plausible reason for the 5 minute recording limit...

It's a tariff thing - if it shoots clips of more than 5 minutes, it gets taxed at a higher "video camera" rate; at leas that's what I've read dozens of times in the initial reviews for the D90.
