im doing a "live to drive" shoot soon and am wondering what the prevailing opinion is. use Final Cut Pro or Adobe On Location.

im equipped with intel mac and both programs, just wondered if one was more fool-proof than the other.

cheers -

For what it's worth, I've had more reliable results with OnLocation. I don't know why, but my FCS2 live to drive footage has had a few errors, whereas CS3 and CS4 have given me no problems whatsoever. I do everything on a macbook pro.

Just my 2 cents.

I had some major problems with OL-CS3 up to almost loosing my footage.
A Adobe representant told me, that they have fixed that in OL-CS4.

A better way would be to record uncompressed via a black magic card (or, if you don´t have a fast raid in the blackmagic JPEG codec).
