Shooting in the rain without a worry

(This post was motivated by another recent post btw)
So I want to shoot in the pouring rain. No canopies, umbrellas etc . Do I need under water housing for this? Or is there a price step down? Can anyone suggest some cheap under water housing for a t2i? Perhaps the cheapest possible would be fine for rain.
 
Adorama has $2 plastic sleeves for it, I think BH does also. I'm ordering a couple of those to test out, the reviews seemed positive fwiw.
