hi, it's a simple question but anyway I cannot find anywhere the answer...

Which is the recording time for RAW light for a 256GB card in 4K 25p and 50p?
There are more than one option for raw compression (like red) ?

The only way to record raw is c fast or exist other solution?
I have To shoot 1 week, around 2h/3h for day in 50p 4k and I'd like if is a good choice for that production.. not on set but around cities and a location on mountains.

thank you!

At least for 24p and 60p in Canon RAW Light, it's 33 minutes on a 256 CFast card- the difference is it will shoot 12bit in 24/25p and 10bit in 50p/60p.

You can only record RAW to the CFast card. If you want to record ProRes, you can output 10bit 422 in HD via the HDMI / SDI ports or you can output 8 bit 422 in UDH via the HDMI port. That said, check to make sure your record will accept a 50p/60p signal in UHD because sometimes they won't.

ok its clear.. usually i shoot fs raw from a fs700 with odyssey but I'd like to rent for this next project. and with cdng I can record only 24 minute for 1TB, so with c200 it will be more than 2 hours ..so it's a good point for me that i'd to shoot in raw.

there are big difference from 10 and 12 bit raw or is "good" raw anyway? I will shoot with dayligh.. maybe led sometimes so i need the maximum latitude to recuperate all in color..

someone use it on ronin M? is it a good combo?

Plenty of samples all over YouTube and Vimeo, look for yourself to determine if you can see a big difference between 10 and 12 bit Cinema RAW Light, I don't see any visual difference. C200 on the Ronin-M is probably not the best match in weight or size. I would use a larger MoVI or Ronin. It also depends on if you are using the C200 or C200B (none EVF model) but most gimbals don't work very well anywhere near their weight limit or size limit.

I live in Italy, here i can rent only C200, c200B doesn't exist.. so ronin II.. maybe the M with a small fixed lens.. i'll check.. thank you!

hi all,
can you suggest me a good 256gb cfast (but not expensive like sandisk) for recording raw?
thank you
