Shooting in candlelight on 5d and also glide-track and vari-nd

[philip bloom]

I did some filming in a Russian Church crypt where a famous Russian actor read some poems by a Russian Poet.

Much was lit with candles, highlighting the astonishing low light of the 5d.

Detailed blog on how it was shot, what was used, sound, lenses etc here:

Excellent!

Very impressive capability. Do you think this camera could get by with a 1X1 light panel and mini plus for main lighting for narrative work.

Has any one used these lights? They seem like a dream come true combined with the low light ability of the 5DII.

The 1x1s are nice, but for the money, the CoolLights 600 LEDs are better for significantly less.

Wow, thanks. $449 compared to the $1,600 light panels is just a tad cheaper.

My Goodness! Wow! How many candles were used?

Wow--reminds me of Barry Lyndon! Kudos.

Cool! I also didn't know Glidetrack has a "compact" version... I enquired and was told they even have a lighweight compact version. I was gonna build my own to make one small and light for backpacking, but not now.
