Shooting Church Service

Okay guys, I am shooting a church service in Colorado this weekend.

Their Goals:

1) Create a small enough files size for create an iPod video sermon. So the congregation can d-load from iTunes or from their website and put into their iPod.

2) A clear detailed picture ;)

3) 16:9 - widescreen

So what would be the best shooting quality - I shot in HD(thought it would be cool for HD-DVD in future), but can only get the 40mins down to 125mb. And I am think we need 45 mins compressed to about 20-30mbs for iPod d-load and also for web d-load.

My workflow will be shooting directly into Final Cut 5.1.2.

Thanks

what file?

Thanks for the heads up for InstantHandbrake ( already knew about Handbrake). But you seemed to have skipped all the other major important things I need. IF I can Figure out what what format for sharpness I should shoot, that that would help. unless InstantHandBrake can get a 35gb file to 30mbs?

Edit: Also InstantHandBrake only wants to open DVD files, which I am not dealing with. Any clue? Would love to get my shooting info checked off before I get into compression.

I know A LOT of about HD, but I hav totally wiped my mind of SD :)

What EASY SETUP option do I choose for a DVCPro50 480/30p? I am thinking DV50 NTSC Anamorphic, being I have screeze mode on?

thanks

EDIT: Here are the size tests I have ran:
- 480/30p DVCPro50 1 min in legth = 420mbs
- 480/30p DVCPro 1 min in length = 210mbs

Now I just did a size. But shoud I see a mjor quality difference?

Also I should add

-720p/30P 1 min in legth = 421mbs

I think stick to DVCPRO 25. Your not going to really see any difference on the ipod.
Will any of the footage go out to DVD as well?

Of course iPod is not the only purpose for this (You need to think about future as well) As I have mentioned before, this is will also be for DVD, and just found out they are getting airtime on a TV station.

I shot last time 720p60p, I cut my frames and that cut my file size. I never considered filming a church service, but apparently it is a huge Media division in the Non-Denominational Chruch. Pretty rad and some of the samples the pastor of this chruch gave me, were REALLY WELL put together!!

I figurd it this way. I did not buy a HD camera to shoot anything less. I will figure out compressor and talk so some pros and get it to where I need it. Just takes time and dedicaton to pushing the bar.
