Shooting a Short "Green Screen" Film: 16:9 question

I live in Victoria BC.

An acquaintance of mine has opened up this cities first "Green Screen" production facility, and we've teamed up to shoot the remake of Ira Hunter's "The Passion Of Zombie Jesus".

I am a novice. I have just bought the HVX-200 AP.

I am going to shoot in 1080 24p...but am wondering if I should shoot it at a 16:9 ratio?

Can anyone give advice about whether it will mater if it's 4:3 or 16:9?

I definitely want a 'film look' to my shots, and I'll let the CGI guy's do the rest.

Of course, you also have the option of turning the camera on its side and shooting so that you use the horizontal resolution as vertical resolution (i.e., you get more).

Rotate the camera 90 degrees when you shoot. Especially if you have a full-body shot. Take advantage of more of the frame when you shoot 16:9. Otherwise, you're just cutting out most of it.

Then, you'll have to rotate the footage in post, but your vertical resolution will be higher than it would be if you shot it normally.
 
I always (ALWAYS) do this for really important shots where I need to get a full body in frame - ie stand up interviews and the like. 16:9 wide is so lame! 16:9 tall is the wave of the future.

forgive me for asking what's probably a stupid question, but once you rotate the footage, you'll also have to blow it up to fit in the frame right?

edit: errr, i guess if you are shooting a greenscreen shot it won't matter as you're just keying it out anyway.

you´ll actually shrink it down to fit in, at least in a 16x9 frame...

right right, i was thinking that if you didn't key out a green screen, and were shooting say an exterior with the camera sideways, you'd end up with black space on the sides and have to blow it up.
