Shoot without a lens

By accident, I forgot that the camera was set to shoot without a lens and I was using the bundled 14-140mm lens.
I did it for this set of videos.

That doesn't effect any of the features of the intelligent Auto mode, does it?

I believe it only suppresses the message that there is no lens attached if it doesn't detect a lens. I leave the setting on all the time.

I second what he said. Mine stays on all the time. I shoot with old lenses to much.

It seams like I got a little bit carried away. Their were a few instances in which my GH1 could have been destroyed especially in another video. Once it survived everything and I saw that it was on that setting, I got myself slightly worried that perhaps the picture quality could have been a little better.

well, if it helps, i too leave "shoot w/o lens on" all the time...nothing to worry about.

Since my camera is parmanently on that "shoot without lens" mode, i notice that it now often gives the message "lens not attached..." whenever i change from preview to camera mode. Strange that it doesn't do it when i do power off - power on.
