W wpd108 Active member Dec 7, 2006 #3 Thanks And also, are people preferring the P2 cards or Firestore unit?
Jason Ramsey Admin Dec 7, 2006 #4 Depends on your workflow needs. If you need long continuous record times and portability, then the Firestore is the best option right now. If you don't, then p2 cards will probably be fine. It just depends on the shooting situations you are going to be in. Jason

B Bryy Member Dec 11, 2006 #5 Is there a port on the HVX that allows for direct-to-drive or do you need some specific cables?
Jason Ramsey Admin Dec 11, 2006 #6 No. Whatever you are recording to has to be mxf aware. You cannot just live record to any hdd that you hook up to the hvx. You can, however do file transfers to either usb or firewire external drives. No to live record. Yes to file transfer. Jason
