I am doing a lot of recording with two wireless lavs. I need a shoe extension or some way to mount the lav receiver instead of putting it on on the strap which is a stupid way of doing it. And what i've been doing. grrr...

Anyone got a setup they like? im thinking of this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/407098-REG/Rycote_037303.html
if i did that, would i want the rear lav to have the antennae pointing toward or away from the sound?

as always, thanks in advance. this forum is really fantastic and appreciated by a relative newcomer like myself.

I use the 40cm rycote shoe extension bar, and it works well with two sennheiser wireless mics plus a light. (link)

I have a shoe doubler Y thingy. I got it from B&H about two years ago and use it for the same thing (2 lav recievers).

Basically just mounts in the camera shoe and splits off into a Y shape with another shoe on top of each end of the Y. Both lav recievers face forward, made of aluminum?, light , strong, works well. I did a look on B&H sight to give you a link but I'll be damned if I know what you call it.....I couldn't find it. MUCH better than the link you posted though.

I have the Rycote extension bar. It works OK for two Sennheiser wireless receivers. I always put them side by side with the antennas pointing the same way (toward the front, usually). However, the OP should note that the bar itself is made of plastic and probably not overly durable. I also wish it were just a little bit longer; the two receivers just barely fit. Not a lot to it for your $28, but if you need it ...

I hadn't heard of that Cool-Lux one before, but it looks like a better made product, and basically the same price. I like that it could be used to raise the receivers, lights, etc. up a little bit. I will definitely get one and try it out. With two accessory shoes like on my HMC80 and a bag full of both types of these extenders, you could build a set of antlers on the front of your camera that would do Rudolph proud.

Here are some shots with the Rycote extension bar you are thinking off. I've used them for a while and have had no problems so far.
