Shield 5 and a Half

Fun movie. The dogs face was priceless! :grin:
I think this could have been cut shorter and had the same effect. That and there was practically nothing gone from the bottle and she was already hammered! Cheap drunk? :)

I liked this though. Films with zero dialogue that still get the point across are always well done. So kudos on that!
Some of the shots were cool as well. Good acting.

Interesting music as well. I liked it.

Good story! I love movies about drinking.... hey Mike, she was on to her 2nd bottle and that one was still full. Camera work was mediocre. The score worked well.

They were as big as the dogs. I'm guessing she was dead before she hit the ground.

Fun film though. It's really rough, but getting something submitted is already ten stars ahead of wanting to submit and NOT making anything. I think the movie could have been a lot shorter and the story would have come across just as well, if not better. Just a matter of editing. I'll be expecting something next fest! Keep it up!
 
Ha! I could see one of the dalmatians looking at the camera! They were adorable.

One thing that would make this a serious entry: more realistic falls. It was rather obvious both ladies were slowly placing their heads on the ground, instead of a solid whack. It pulled me out both times, which is unfortunate, since everything else in your short was rather well done, especially the editing - I like how frenetic it gets near the end, it reflects her drunkenness.
 
Just got back to the forum. Thanks for the insight gentlemen. I agree it needed to be shorter. For S&Gs what parts would you cut or how long do you think the ideal length to be? And a general congratulations for all your entries. d
