Hi all!

Been a while since I've posted on here, but wanted to share my latest work with you guys, which is something a little different to what I'd normally do, and is my first venture into food.

I was asked to create a video to coincide with the launch of their new website, that would entice viewers and highlight the freshness of the ingredients used in the paste vs competitors, in a fun and engaging format. I hope you guys enjoy it and critique is more than welcome!

Shot on an FS7, edited in Premiere and graded using Resolve (finally lost my Davinci virginity)

This was great! Looked really nice. I agree with looking fresh!! Did you use natural daylight here? I loved the fwd and back which seemed to go really well with the music. I wonder two things. Could you introduce the product somewhere earlier? And maybe that's not accurate but around midway through I felt that I'd seen all the shots and wanted something else. Just a question. I know it's on their website so you know you're going to be watching a curry video but if there's a version that doesn't play on the website maybe something to think about. The other thing is what would it be like to have the sound of the cutting etc in there fwd's and back wards? I wonder. Thanks for sharing, really great job!

Thanks for the feedback guys, glad you're feeling it!

It was lit using a combination of natural light, 2 Kino Flo Diva's and a 1000W dedo with softbox. The concept to me was always based around the mystery of the ingredients being un-prepped, I felt if the product itself was introduced sooner, there would be no climax. Hopefully people will be inquisitive enough to see the whole thing through until the end (big ask with the current average attention span!).

And the sound was something that I tried and considered, but after I found that track I preferred for the shots to bounce off the music, so I tried to time particular movements carefully with notes within the song. Thanks for the critique though man, it's always good to get a different opinion and fresh set of eyes on something!
