Just fooling around today with 24p and 16:9

I think PhotoShop messed them up. Forgot to change the pixel aspect ratio or something. I shot it in squeeze mode, layed it into a 16x9 timeline then exported .bmp's to PS. Looked fine there but then when I saved them as .jpg's to post they scrunched up a bit.

ABSOLUTELY SHAMELESS & SCANDOLOUS I TELL YOU!! Very Cute doggy!! Nice DOF in the first pic too. Really nice pics overall. ~reservoir~

Just stick a Lab in a pic and all is good. A Lab pup is even better! They've sure built up the cute dog genes.

great color did u do any cc?
Short answer - Yes, a bit of Gamma adjustment in Premiere. (I know, I know - I should have adjusted in camera.)

Long answer - I know people are gonna give me crap for this, but I've had my camera for about a year and this is the first time I've done anything with it in 24P 16:9 mode. I do mostly corporate/industrial stuff with the occasional wedding thrown in and just haven't taken the time to dive into the camera and learn "film-making". Since I discovered this forum just a few short weeks ago I've caught the bug and working on some ideas for a short that I'd like to one day premiere here.
The stills above were shot with the factory settings Scene F6 24PA
Once in Premiere I applied the Gamma adjust filter and adjusted it from the default "10" setting to "12". Nothing scientific about it, just made an adjustment to what I liked.
Thanks to Barry's book I'm now not afraid of 24p. When I first got the camera I switched it over to 24p and was scared by the "jerkyness" of the image when you pan fast. Now that I've read his book and dug around here I understand so much more.
I wish I could post a clip but I have no way of serving video.
