SGpro Bokeh Test

Thanks for posting Marco. This demos the SGpro's bokeh well. The GG has a unique type of diffusion which gives the image its distinctive look.

This is the reason we are going to be offering the same GG as an option in the upcoming SGblade, the other GG option being a glass disk with less lightloss, although not quite the same bokeh.

Can you remember what lens stops for the segments? Also, what lenses?

They are all with the Nikon AIS 85mm f/1.4. Whenever the bokeh looks hexagonal I am at f/2.0-2.8, otherwise they are all wide open. For the shot with the spider, stopping down to f/2.8 created hexagons which helped separate the spider from the background.

What is the SGblade?

Great clip:)

The SGpro bokeh is so pleasing to the eye, I can't describe it..

Just an off topic question:

Where's the music form?
Loved it:P Great mood..

I love the way the SG looks. It has a certain feel more so then any other adapter footage I have seen.

Any info on the blade?

im pretty sure you can't comment much regarding the SGblade but maybe you can at least give us an idea as to what price range it will fall into. just hoping.. im seriously considering the SGpro so maybe its worth the wait.

The purpose for having two versions is probably because it will give to different looks. The "old" SGpro gives what you know great DOF and detail. The Blade version will probably give something alike but a little different.

My hopes were that the Blade version would be smaller and possible to use without rods. It will be interesting to see a sketch of the adapter. :)

what would be great is to have something in between the SGpro and the Letus ultimate.

i.e. spinning, great bokeh, and less light loss.

i don't actually mean you should make it! Damn, imagine getting rid of my letus extreme and having to buy all new hardware to support this sucker!! GRRRR... Don't tempt me!!!!! GRRRRR

Looks great! Few quick questions. Is the bokeh with the new GG comparable to the older one? Will the older GG have better light loss than the current SGpro? I'm just hoping for that SGpro look, but with better light loss. Any info on price or release date?

you just had to didn't you... god damn.. just when i thought i woud be happy with my extreme, you had to poop all over me.
