There will be a multitude of tests done once the SG blade beta units have been shipped, but I wanted to know if there are any tests that you guys, specifically for the XH A1, would like done?

Please post your questions and I will try have the answers to them all.

Low Light is probably one of the most important to some.

Make sure you mark shot to shot the room ambience, what watt lights were used, what F stop your CAMERA is at and what F stop your lens on the adapter is at. All of that helps us see what you can do with what.

For low-light I'd like to see XHA1 without the adapter and then with the adapter for comparison.

Hello....well, since you`re asking, the low-light performance inside (both under available light of different kinds and preferably some basic key) has got to be the thing people really want to examine....wayne`s tests shown here were all outside as are almost all the adaptor tests I see on the web.....just like your own yearbook productions logo lighting....do that for us and we will all be a whole lot smarter about this fabled instrument.

There will be many tests regarding the light loss in low light and well lit areas. I also want to make a large focus on the edge to edge sharpness. I love my letus extreme, but it kills me everytime i try to use my 24mm lens. Really kills me.

The tests will be primarily:

1) light loss
2) grain visibility under various F-stop + shutter speed combinations against different textures, colors, sky's, etc...
3) edge to edge sharpness
4) build quality ( size, weight, etc... )
5) vignetting ( should be none )
6) centering, X+Y adjustment
7) battery lifespan
8) ease of setup + workflow

I wanted to know more so if there were any other particular,, specific tests that you would like seen done before you make your purchase. Or if these cover your basics.

Your being hooked up as a beta tester papa? Nice, I think your list is solid, vignetting on wider lenses and edge to edge is probably my biggest concern, because I'm sure it's ability to stop down and lightloss will be more than good enough.
