Setting for Craigslist post???

Hey guys
I take pics for a couple local car dealerships and I put them on CL for some side income. I used to use a little point and shoot Sony that had a VGA setting... those pics were very small in size but still good quality. I was able to upload those to CL in seconds. Well since I'm charging a bit more now, I want to start using my SLR so that they feel the increase is justified... but even at the smallest setting in my T2i it takes forever for them to upload to CL. I know I can resize them in photoshop, or even iphoto, but is there a setting in the camera that I am missing that would be for online use only (like the VGA setting on my old Sony).
thanks

Nope. You'll have to resize them. Smallest t2i does is 2592 x 1728 pixels. If you upgrade to the t3i, that does down to 720 x 480 pixels.

does a 720x480 fit on CL without downsizing?
What about the T4i... I assume if the T3i has it the T4i will as well- been looking at upgrading anyway- maybe this is reason enough

Yes, the t4i has it too. I don't know how it'll fit on craigslist, I've never had a problem uploading full rez pictures.

I would develop a workflow that imports images to a directory and processes them into something reasonable for web viewing. You can batch process images in Canon DPP and set the output size as appropriate. You can even shoot raw and batch convert to jpg, apply density and other corrections, etc. Uploading full rez to a site like CL will only piss off those unlucky enough to load the page they are on.

Why do you need to upload to Craigslist? Why not make a webpage or find a free portfolio page to direct people so they can see things in High Quality? If you want to include pictures resize as others mentioned (if you have a mac you can do it in Preview). But then get all those pics in a online portfolio.

ultimately, craigslist has more viewers looking for cars than building a separate website for each car lot that i take pictures for. at times i put cars on their personal sites for them but all of them have told me craigslist is still number one for getting cars sold and not their own personal
