C200: service for removing EVF from C200?

Essentially I want to turn my C200 into a C200B for gimbal work. Rarely do I ever NEED the evf, and it just gets in the way. I've seen a link to a Canon UK site that offered this as a service from Canon, but I can't seem to find the same offer in the US.

I've also seen youtube tutorials, but I'm not particularly interested in cracking my $7500 camera open myself.
 
First off, I woldn't do it, get a different gimbal. Second, when you go to sell the C200B, hardly anyone will want it...they will want a C200.
With all that, Canon service in NY/NJ or Burbank are the ones to call and I'd only want them to do it....just my thoughts.
