Dose is Serious Magic DV Rack HD 2.0 work with HVX ? if its, Serious Magic DV Rack HD 2.0 sill to adobe on location, is that mean adobe on location work with HVX HD format ??? is that mean I can use the camcorder with out P2 card and I can get ever function like Variable frame rates in 720p mode:
12, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 30, 32, 36, 48, 60fps ?? any one have answer 4 this ?

Thank you Barry but I wander if answer all my question is yes why no one use it even adobe site didn't talk about that? So now after all that I don't have to buy any expensive P2 card any more.

I use OnLocation for almost all of my in-studio work - but as a backup. I wouldn't want to rely solely on OL in place of my P2 cards. Also it can be kind of clunky out in the field being tethered to a laptop.

You will need a fairly robust laptop if you are going to be shooting DVCPRO HD. One caveat I have found with OL is it will drop frames and not report it other than the buffer meter will be in the red zone.

It can be difficult using your laptop screen to monitor live recording due to the latency issues - sometimes up to 20 frames behind.

You cannot shoot 720PN via firewire, so OL will not work using that setting.

Please keep in mind that OL is still pretty new to the Adobe lineup. But rest assured that extensive development is on the way.

What is everybody's guess on On Location going to the Mac?

Premiere CS3 has parity between Mac and PC and onLocation is bundled with the Premium Production bundle for the Mac and Adobe just add MXF native editing.

Everything's there.
