I was just told that some early cameras had focus issues (still photography mode).
I just received mine, and have not fully tested it.
I have not been able to decipher the serial numbers, but from looking at some past Canon layouts, I believe the coding would be something like:
First digit is a place holder of 0
Second Digit is the hardware generation, Zero being alpha cameras, 1 being Beta versions, 2 being production cameras.
Third digit may be location of distribution. ( Maybe 2 for US, 7 for Canada, 3 Europe)
Last 5 digits are sequential production line numbers.
Supposedly the focus issues are fixed in the #4 (second digit) series and newer cameras.
I am just wondering what version cameras had over heating?
