Sequence settings

Hello All,

I'm an FCP 7 user and having a problem with sequence settings. I have a finished project and the client wishes to break the project up into smaller segments. i've added a new sequence to the existing project, then simply copied the footage from the original sequence to the new one. My problem is that once I drop the footage into the new sequence, the parameters( size, aspect ratio, etc) are not retained. Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong? Many thanks...
 
You need to resize the first clip manually- scale, aspect ratio, etc. Then copy it, then paste attributes to all other clips with a select all. Also read your manual regarding Media Manager- which does this for you...

What you may be doing incorrectly is not matching the new sequence settings with the old one.

That's easy to check by comparing each
 
Command - 0 (zero) for each sequence and compare, take a screen shot of each if needed or write down the settings.

Anytime you "drop" footage (with different specs) onto a new sequence, the sequence will change to the settings of that footage therefore not staying the same to other sequences in the project.
