Hey guys! I am a long time reader of this forum, but this is my first time actually posting.
I created a free Android tool that I think you guys might be interested in! I have developed/am developing open-source software tools for filmmakers to semantically tag and organize subcllips of their footage WHILE THEY ARE FILMING. I created a fully functional prototype app (you can download and find instructions for use here: http://market.android.com/details?id=andy.documatic&feature=search_result)
The basic principles of Documatic, and Semi-Automatic Filmmaking, in general, are that, instead of gathering tons of footage with a video camera, and then later meticulously sorting and organizing in a separate editing stage, you can use an Android device to roughly annotate and organize the video clips as they are being recorded. Then later, the system combines these annotations with the raw footage and intelligently organizes and "pre-edits" the footage into an Adobe Premiere/Final Cut Pro Sequence.
From the kickstarter support, we are setting feature bounties for programmers to go after (such as multi-camera support, iOS versions, maybe magic lantern integration, and other streamlining and bugfixes)
Thanks! Let me know if you have any questions, want to help develop, or have burning feature requests!
-Andy
