anybody done this before. selling my 150 this evening. really like to present new owner with the included 3 yr warranty.

Think I'm gonna buy the hmc40 or maybe the new povcam

You're best off getting some official word from Panasonic. But unfortunately I believe the answer is 'no'.

Care to share why you're selling it? Seems sad to me, as well

I asked a german Panasonic official about this. Here in Germany it is no problem according to him. It simply can be changed online...

I think I read it here on dvxuser, but there's a workaround:

If the new owner ever has a problem where they need warranty service, just have them get it repaired under your name.

At the very least, it will keep the two of you in touch with each other for the next three years. :)

From the Panasonic web site:

"When the equipment is re-sold to someone else, is the extended warranty repair program transferred, too?

No. The right for the program isn't transferred. Please be informed that you need to delete the equipment registration when re-sold. Otherwise, next customer will not be able to register it.

Thats the way, the Panasonic official told me: Delete registration online. The new customer then has to register online using the serial number. He will receive the rest of the warranty-time.

What did you end up telling your buyer about the warranty? Did you give him your PASS login or change your PASS info to his? Or did you cancel your serial number registration so that he can register the camera under his name?
