This is how rumors start and get out of hand. By this time next week, this'll escalate into a 5K RAW shooting 5DmkIII with auto-focus and 1080P monitor output with no moire, XLR inputs and a full range of cine-style lenses....
just kidding! (or am I?
)
In all seriousness, the 5D's October release isn't totally unbelievable. That's about 2 years after the markII. Almost every Canon DSLR series has about an 18-30 month cycle before the next version. The gap between the 5D and the 5DmkII was just extra long for some reason. Probably because it was the first full-frame semi-pro body DSLR so Canon wasn't sure if there was going to be a market.
