Sell 5D Mark II for Samsung NX1?

Hi, everybody, I'm pondering a possible change up for my still/video camera lineup after hearing the news that the Samsung NX1 has dropped in price yet again. I currently have a Sony A7S and Shogun for my main 4K filming purposes but I still have my Magic Lanterned 5D Mark II for stills since it's 21mp versus the 12mp of the A7S. But I was wondering if it might be more advantageous to sell it and pick up an NX1 for the seven additional megapixels plus the added benefit of the H.265 4K video. I use Nikon lenses so adapters are no big deal and I know that there's the Sony A6300 and other cameras sure to come out but I just wondered if the NX1 might be the better buy even though Samsung has apparently discontinued it.

It's a personal decision, really. My take is that NX1 was ahead of its time but the model did not find acceptance in the market and, a year later, there are other options. Personally, between NX1 and A6300, I'd lean toward A6300, especially since you have an external recorder already.

On the other hand, if 5D MKIV is announced soon, then MKII will go down in value even more.

The future of the NX1 seems uncertain, think Samsung has put camera development on hold or so I've heard.
I second the A6300. That way you can also share lenses without adapters etc between the cameras. And both being Sony cameras, it should be easier to make them look similar in multicam situations. Think they use same batteries also? Seems just much more practical in every way. Plus the A6300 looks pretty damn nice.

True, I have considered that the 5D Mark II's value isn't as high as it once was but I know it's still very useful as a stills camera if nothing else. I'm not expecting to get a lot for it, close to $1K, not anywhere near what I spent for it but that'd be enough to offset buying a whole separate camera setup. If the NX1's value as a stills camera isn't all that great by comparison then it may not be the replacement I need. I have considered going all Sony and just investing in an A6300 or even an A7SII for the 42mp factor but a good value is a good value, you know? It's just been a good while since I looked up anything about the NX1 and I haven't noticed too many posts on here about it other than it was an inexpensive 4K option.

B&H has the NX1/16-50 2/2.8 combo listed as discontinued, although the NX1 body is still available (at least, it is in the US). Of course, the other Samsung APS-C mirrorless cameras aren't even listed at B&H anymore. NX300 and NX 500 are gone. Which is kind of a giveaway, you know.

If you're worried about megapixels, then you're taking stills, and if that's the case, either you use manual glass (without AF), or the NX1 is not a good idea, given there are very few lenses for it and it's very likely there won't be any new ones.

If you're doing only video, then I'd also take the a6300 instead of the NX1.

If you're also taking stills, in terms of sharpness I think full frame trumps megapixels most of the times (it is sharper, tests here, I know in my case the APS-C camera has less Mpix but the difference is a lot bigger than what a few Mpix would give you, it's actually the bigger sensor generating sharper pictures), and the 5D2 is still a very mighty camera, I'm not sure I'd sell it, and definitely not in order to go back to APS-C.

NX1 is sure a great camera, but you will not likely to get support, parts or anything from the manufacture very soon ( like now?)
If this is the kind of product you want, please go ahead. Else A6300 may be a good choice since you have Canon lens.
