Seeing Pre-comp keyframes

Is there a way to see all of the keyframes inside a precomp that's nested into another comp?

For example:

Comp A has four layers, all keyframed at different times.
Comp B has six layers, one of which is Comp A.

I want to use Comp B as my main comp, but having the keyframe locales from Comp A showing up (non editable, of course) could help me jump to the next ... welll ... "key frame" in the video.

And no, "UU" won't pull them up, even with the precomp locked.

My money is on the "nobody thought of this before" school. That it's not in there!

When I have odd alignment stuff like this (usually moving between programs) I'll stick placeholdesr in - in your case, go into your precomp and make a layer with, say, a hot magenta square in the corner (conceptually like a cigarette burn "Change the reel" flash). Kick its transparency up at points you need to align something (matching the keyframes). Delete or hide the layer when you render out.

yeah, it's a kludge, but I've done it from time to time.

If possible, whenever I run into the aforementioned circumstance, what I like to do is "leave all attributes" when starting a new comp. Then all I do is copy and paste all of my keyframes (and / or effects etc) to the old comp. This way I can "see" what I'm doing instead of jumping in and out of different comps. Sure it's an extra step and may or may not be ideal depending on the application but it's always an alternative.I'm sure you have already thought of using markers as placeholders too (probably not too effective in this case but still worth bringing up.)-B

Hmmm ...

Michael, that would work for most of my projects probably, but not so much this one. This one is about 4000 layers deep with 105 compositions in it.

bgodoy, my only problem with the copy / paste keyframe idea is if I need to change the keframes in another comp, I'll have to repaste all of the new ones as well. There's no live update on them.
