Seeing LCD and monitor simultaneously

So i have a 7D and and HD Monitor connected via HDMI. I use the redrock dslr bundle with the shoulder mount. When shooting I would like to be able to look through the LCD using the Zacuto viefinder and have my 1st AC pulling focus using the HD monitor. For dolly shots its fine cus we can set marks and i can confirm accuracy, however when i'm shooting shoulder mount the AC will have to pull on the fly. Ideally i would like to be able to use the VF so that the HD monitor can be better positioned for the AC. However when i connect my HD monitor to the HDMI input my 7d's LCD screen is disable and goes black.

Any way around this?

No. You'll have to wait for the Magic Lantern custom firmware for the possibility of doing what you want here.

Another option is to connect a laptop via USB and use the EOS Utility's Remote Live View function.
