See if you can spot the VERY interesting anomaly in this clip.

Do we need more res to spot it? Some of the birds spontaneously disappear from the top of the frame as they break out and then there is the boat glint reflection. Am I still missing the big picture?

I'm not much of a bird watcher or maybe its the angle of the shot, but the bird that is flapping it's wings close to the camera looks slightly different. His feather coloration, especially around the head and neck is slightly different than the other birds. The other birds have more "white" in those areas

Interesting observation. But it's not the birds.

There are 2 big splashes around 9-10secs on the horizon line. At that distance, they would probably be pretty "big" up close

EXCELLENT! You got it!

For those who missed it, the two splashes occur at about the 00:00:08 mark. They are on the horizon about 1/4 way in from the left side of the screen.

It's VERY good that you noticed it was TWO splashes and not just one. I had to go frame-by-frame to see that.

An extreme cropping of the frames shows me the two splashes are side-by-side. And there's more. When the first splash occurs, there is to the right of it a dark object protruding out of the water -- in the exact spot where the second splash occurs less than a second later.

I believe what I unknowingly caught on video was two whales cavorting in the ocean. Another extremely cropped frame from just before the splashes shows a dark object at the surface of the water that I believe looks like the tail of a whale.

Good job PDR! Thanks to everyone for playing the game!

And here is the XCU (crop) a moment before the splashes. The circle is around what I think is the tail of a whale, though it may be hard to see here.
