So the script was written by my partner shortly after I wrote "Senior Trip" which didn't turn out because of location problems and the fact that my VW bus had to have the generator replaced.

But we got this new short, Second Hand Smoke done.

It kinda creeped me out at the end.

And I made the damn thing.

No real behind the scenes pics to show, and I've been too busy to make a poster. We shot Friday Saturday and Sunday afternoon, And I edited my ass off during my free time those days.

Shot with Andromeda, btw.

Yeah I too will be interested to see how Andromeda footage holds up when compressed down to a 400 x X pixel 50 MB version!

It looks pretty good, but for some reason everyonce in a while the compression adds a color flicker that wasn't there....couldn't figure it out in time. Still looks good though.
 
Well I finally figured out the flickering problem, it was the automatic filter that Quicktime Pro had applied to my video and being a newb (I only purchased it Sunday for this), I didn't catch it.

I uploaded the nice version to my site and linked Jarred to it and asked him to replace the one I upped to the website with it. I hope he does, it looks tons better.

Sorry about your earlier film. I remember the post about the VW breaking down.

Thanks. :) This new script is better so I'm a bit happy the VW broke down (it's all fixed now and didn't cost too much).

I just hope Jarred will swap the h.264 file....the automatic filter quicktime had applied to the one i had to send in to meet the deadline really did some funky color things to it. It's not awful, but the new one I finally managed to look correct looks how it should and is better.
 
An andromeda joint. SHHHWEEEEET! I have been wanting to see something from a user thats not related to the reel stream site. Coolness. If it creeped you out then I'm hoping it will do the same for me.
 
I am just looking forward to Jarred updating the list. I uploaded but have not seen my name on the list. I know that he is busy... but I am dying here!

Hope he swaps yours out. I would rather watch it as it is intended.

Glad to hear the VW didn't set you back much. Always good news.
 
Awesome poster man. That shot totally reminds me of 'Traffic'. Just the feel and vibe I'm picking up from it. Nice work! I can't wait to see the film.
 
The Andromeda. Wow. You gotta tell me what that was like. Can you describe your workflow? Capturing, run and gun, etc. Also what was post like? Did u do an offline edit with a lower quality/res version then switch to HQ for final render?

I'm really eager to see this. :)
