FS7: SDI/HDMI 4K Video out for streaming ?

A couple of my customer is asking for 4K live video streaming, so can the FS7 or the new FS5 does 4K H264 video out on the HDMI or SDI ?
I have the FS700, but it is raw 4K, and most streamer encoder can't handle FS700 raw video.
I looked at the Sony FS7 manual, but seems like no such capabilities - but then maybe it is old software release ?

H264 is a codec, separate from an HDMI or SDI stream. I don't know about the FS5, but the FS7 can feed 4k out via HDMI, which you could then pass to your 4k streamer encoder.

Thanks, look like I have an excuse to get the FS7
does the FS7 support HDMI 2.0 for 4K ? or is it just 1.4? What about the SDI port ?
did anyone hook up their 4K UHD tv to the FS7? how is the video quality ?
Now I need to find which encoder supports 4K HDMI from FS7 - any suggestions ?

It is 1.4 so you can have DCI 4K/23.98. It is 10bit/422 and it looks very good. I record it to an Odyssey 7Q+ in Pro Res HQ.

If I am reading the manual correctly it would appear that the largest picture size(resolution is actually not a correct term for this) from the SDI without the XDCA back is 2048x1080. Not sure what frame rate that is but I suspect 23.98.

Good Fortune,
Robert

Actually the FS7 features an HDMI 2.0 output. It can send out a true DCI 4K60p over HDMI. The Odyssey7Q+ can only accept HDMI at DCI 4K24p, but if you use an AJA HA5-4K mini converter, it can accept the DCI 4K60p signal from the FS7 and output it over quad-link 3G-SDI. This in turn can be sent directly into the Odyssey7Q or Odyssey7Q+ and be recorded in Apple ProRes. Both the converter and the recorder can run off either 7.2v or 12v power, so it's possible to create an onboard battery solution for them to work together.

I know this thread was about streaming, but I just wanted to share correct technical information. Not sure what boxes are currently available for 4K or UHD streaming or injest. Blackmagic Design likely has something.

Thanks, I also notice Blackmagic has this HDMI to SDI converter
would be really nice if Convergent 7Q+ can output 6G SDI - there are plenty of SDI ports ;) that I will never use

Yep, Mitch is correct. To be clear, the Sony manual says 59.94p.

Thanks for the correction,
Robert
