FS7: SDI cables with embeded audio

quick question... sdi off the fs7 has embedded audio, I'm wondering if there is a "splitter" available that I can take the single sdi off the cam input the "splitter" have 1 cable going to the on board Q7 and the other cable going to a streaming encoder. (Im not electric savey so, is there a loss/reduction of signal if you have a splitter?, do they even make these?)

Have never used audio over SDI before (didn't know it could do that actually!)

If you can use SDi to the 7Q and have that all setup etc, why not use HDMI to the streaming encoder? That'll send audio.
I'm doing basically that tonight, SDI to the screens in the venue (although no audio required), HDMI through Teradek Cube to YouTube.

Ah - Good question

I've used one where I needed to run a cable from the FS7 headphone jack to the input on the encoder..... but maybe someone has a better idea about a splitter if possible!!

Are you sure? Most encoders offer embedded audio as well, but you may need to change a setting using driver software on your computer.

If not, I suggest that you take the feed out of your Odyssey7Q+ The SDI output does have embedded audio, but there is also an analog audio output 3.5mm headphone jack. You can use that to run to the encoder along with the video output and then both signals would be n sync.

Are you feeding FSRAW from the camera to the Odyssey7Q+ or are you sending video? If it is RAW the splitters will not work. Even if it is video, I do not recommend using a splitter as it can degrade the signal. The Odyssey7Q+ already has everything you need built in so since you have that you can save the money and just use the recorder's outputs.
